How it all started...
Trinity had exciting beginnings. It’s as if God wanted to establish Trinity to prepare this church for a special purpose that was going to happen 25 years later. So, he sent Bob Degray ahead of them to study at a seminary and become a pastor and just as he graduated from the seminary, his former church members had to leave their beloved church and wondered where God was leading them next...
So, Joanna Rask called the Degrays, and they responded by sending a letter to their former church families to know if at least 10 of them would be interested in creating a new church if he moved down here as its pastor and he gave them one week to respond and call him back and they did.

Expanding the vision...
So, the Degrays moved back and they never looked back for the next 30 years. During this time, the church grew and matured and 25 years later when Hurricane Harvey hit Houston, Trinity stood as a strong tree rooted in the Bible to provide relief efforts to so many homes that sunk into the floods and didn’t have insurance to have their back.
Bob’s first letter to the Trinity was addressed on Aug 16, 1992, and Hurricane Harvey hit Houston on Aug 17, 2017. Mission teams from all over the country came to Houston to aid in the relief efforts. Many of them stayed at Trinity and worked on these damaged homes to repair them by pulling out all the soaked and moldy wood and replacing every one of them board by board, tile by tile, wall by wall...

Where we are headed...
Now it’s time for a new chapter in Trinity’s life. God has brought us a new Pastor to breathe new life into our church. To prepare us for a new adventure that awaits us somewhere down the line. And we are excited and looking forward to sharing it with a new set of faces while our mature leaders still have our backs to guide us to God's next calling...
